We use empathy and active listening to empower our texters to identify their own strengths and coping strategies in moments of crisis. We listen to and learn from our community to help us continuously improve our service.
Crisis Text Line is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free, 24/7 emotional support via text to people in crisis. The organization is based in New York and relies on donations to support its mission. According to Crisis Text Line, less than 10% of its total income is spent on overhead, ensuring that donations are used directly to benefit texters.
